Breaker Tool for Smoke Test Kit
The kit is designed to perform respirator fit checks on air-purifying respirators.
The breaker tool is used to snap the ends off a glass smoke tube, which is then inserted into the aspirator bulb. When the bulb is squeezed, a stannic chloride fume is created. A person wearing a respirator is exposed to this gas. If they can smell or taste it, the respirator is not properly sealed.
The 2050-03 breaker tool is specifically for use with the Allegro Industries smoke tubes included in the 2050 and 2055 test kits.
